This handwoven scarf is edged with a blue jacquard border on the sides. The body of the scarf is a chambray red and white ikat. Ikat, sometimes also known as space-dye in its original form is a traditional weaving technique. In real ikat, the yarn is dyed before the scarf is handwoven.
Wear this luxurious scarf over your favorite trench coat for work, as a sarong at the beach, a head scarf for a road trip with the top down (the only way), or top off that gorgeous sundress with a wrap. This scarf scores serious versatility, style, and design points, and is a must-have for your scarf collection. Seriously, can you ever have too many scarves?
All scarves from Indigo Handloom are handmade, cruelty free, generate a donation toward school tuition for an underprivileged girl, and employ nine times as many people as a machine-made product, with each employed weaver, on average, supporting eight family members. By hand making each piece, water usage is greatly decreased, which is always better for the environment.
